About Jonathan Nektarios
Jonathan Nectarios was born in the USA and grew up during the period of Vietnam war protests and the era of sex, drugs and rock and roll.
His self-designed University degree combined Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology around the topic of communities; he envisioned cooperative communities as a needed social form for the future.
Little did he know at the time that the true basis for community is found only with the Holy Spirit who brings peace, unity and reconciliation. Without the Holy spirit we have endless division, hate and war.
While living in the Holy land, he met a Dutch couple who were the caretakers of the monastery of St John the Baptist. They gave him his first copy of the True life in God Messages in 1997. That same year, he met Vassula for the first time at a talk she gave at Tantur Christian center in Bethlehem. Later that year, he was baptized on the island of Rhodes with Vassula as his Godmother. Currently living in Crete with his wife, he continues to study the True Life in God Messages.
Why come to the talk?
The pursuit of happiness
Tell me, who is so crazy that they don’t need to feel safe? Who is even crazier for not wanting to feel loved? We all want to find a way to be happy.
But more than that, we want purpose in life – not just any life, but a beautiful life. Some of us are made to like challenges, others avoid them …. most people are willing to pay a price if the reward outweighs the sacrifice.
What if the way to find all this is not in this world?
The Beatles sang, “can’t buy me love”. So, if the real source of true love and fulfillment in life is outside this world, where is it?
God's postman
There have always been those individuals who have received supernatural communications that are beyond this world from a higher world in all cultures, in all ages.
They are traditionally called prophets. But there is this Vassula who is a prophet, although she does not consider herself a prophet, she considers herself to be the scriber and messenger of God. And like any postman, she has been entrusted by God to deliver to all the people of this planet His Love letter, to be given to every human being, regardless of what we are and where we come from.
This love letter from God is also a reminder of our foundation, reminding us that our umbilical cord is still attached to Him.
As for Vassula Ryden, she has been invited to 86 countries to witness and has received more than 1163 of these supernatural communications for over 39 years, which God Himself named: True Life in God. Translated into 42 languages, she receives no money for any of these. These messages, while reading them, have the power to uplift your spirits and fill us with meaning and purpose, to jump to the ceiling with joy, filling us with hope, because you begin to recognize that Someone up-there cares for you and loves you to the point of folly!
An hour for the soul
For anyone to miss out on those messages would be sad, because you would miss the Presence of He, who created you…
In our days when so many of us are going through tribulations of all kinds in health, finances, work, relationships, inner turmoil and pain, we find little peace, little joy and little love.
To make matters worse, it seems that the world is going crazy with wars, disasters and I can tell you that the catastrophs are provoked by us, by our rejection of God, so nature is rebelling against us. As we continue without God, the world is experiencing more social unrest, more injustice and corruption than ever before. Nonetheless, humans always want immediate answers, as Vassula had in the past. The Lord, knowing her weakness, gave her many answers to her questions in these messages.
We are living in the end of times, says the Lord to Vassula, and His return is imminent. Before His return, He calls everyone, saying: “come to Me as you are, do not wait to become saints to come to Me…”.
All you need is interest; call it curiosity if you like, so that in your awakening you will realize that you are bone of His bone, flesh of His flesh and that in all truth you belong to the King of Kings; as you descend from the Sovereignty and from the Most High, you are also of royal descent.
In this short introductory talk
We will review the origin of these divine messages, how we can discern their authenticity, and present some basic concepts in these teachings that we can put into practice right away to help us in our daily lives.
My hope is that you will leave from this presentation with concrete tools and steps that you can start to take into your life right away, to “unstuck you” and get your lifeboat off the riverbank and back into a flow of life with more joy, more love, more purpose and more hope.
